For most people this would be a straight forward swap but I have a 2006 Civic Hybrid with Navigation. The SWC harness is different than the one supplied. I had to deep search the web to find the wiring diagrams for the SWC for the 8th generation honda civics. I have supplied images of the diagrams here. 22P is the navigation plug the wires are 3,6,7 and 20P 5,6,7 is what it's supposed to be. Remember 20P is going to be backwards because you're jumping from the female/radio harness and the diagram is for a male/car side harness. Also, make sure of you install a reverse camera. The positive pigtail on the yellow RCA is also tapped into the positive wire that is feeding power to the camera from the tail light. It doesn't make sense that all of the instructions show it only being wires up at the back of the head unit. It needs power coming from the other end.Now that everything is working, I have my phone upgraded to a 4g Hotspot and the radio is working great. 4g/64g is pretty snappy and lags only a little every once in a while. Also it sounds better than the original/oem head unit. Very surprising with how light weight this item is. I guess amplifier technology has come pretty far since 2006.I'd say the radio itself is 5 stars but the installation and lack of adapters and instructions knocks a start off the whole experience. If you have a Navigation unit...good luck with the installation. Not impossible but it requires extra work. Oh ..last thing. On the steering controls, if you have the voice and back buttons, bit seems to not be including those buttons but maybe I missed something. Either way I made it this far and I'm happy. Again, good luck and Have a nice travel!

This really updates the interior of my 2008 civic si! The head unit works well and CarPlay works perfectly (which is what I wanted it for). You can even keep your steering wheel controls!I installed this on my own following a YouTube video, you can do it too! Just know that if your civic has “premium audio” like mine, you will have to splice the baby blue wire to the blue wire in the harness provided with the unit.Overall, highly recommend!

Supports CarPlay, easy to install, relatively cheap. All great. Problem is a few things:CarPlay connectivity is spotty at best. You can’t plug your phone in prior to the car starting, otherwise it won’t connect.USB maximum power output is 2.5W which is barely enough to keep your phone up. I imagine in a long trip with GPS running, your phone could end up discharging overall.Display is okayish. Surprisingly handles daylight well, but is alarmingly bright at night (even at lowest) and contrast isn’t great on a sunny day.Overall, I feel like I can’t complain. The company’s email is very responsive and I’m sure if someone had an issue, they’d be able to help. The thing is so damn cheap for a head unit WITH housing WITH antennas WITH wiring harnesses that it really can’t be beat. The only thing truly missing is instructions, but anyone even mildly tech savvy could probably figure it out.
